ZOOM INSTRUCTIONS

New to Zoom? We can help.

If you have a computer, an iPad or Tablet, or a smart phone with a camera built in then Zoom is easy for anyone to use, while connected to the internet.

Simply visit this web page on your device just before the meeting time and click the “Connect on Zoom” button on the meeting you wish to join.

Once Zoom starts up you might get questions like:

‘Do you want to start Zoom?’ — Click YES.
‘Do you want to join Zoom with video?’ — Click YES.
‘Do you want to join with audio?’ — click YES.

When connecting you will first be added to a waiting room. Please use your real name to identify yourself so that you can be added to the meeting room promptly. Once you have joined you will see a picture of yourself and pictures of us, and the others who have joined in.

Using Zoom:  When you see your little photo, you can hover your mouse over the top right hand corner of the photo square and from here can MUTE and UNMUTE your microphone. When you have MUTE on you will still be able to hear the group discussion but they will not hear you until you select UNMUTE.  You can also hover your mouse in the same spot and turn your VIDEO off if you need to ‘pop out for a minute’ and then back on again when you’re ready.
