La Sierra Life Groups… gather regularly… around a common interest or characteristic… remain open to new members… receive pastoral care… and intentionally create space for authentic, life-giving relationships to develop.

SUNDAY

MONDAY

PingPong Fellowship gathers from 7-8:30 pm (early-birds at 5:30 pm; worship thought shared at about 8 pm), Monday nights, in the Fellowship Hall with Bart Vaughan (951-201-0099; bnlvaughan@msn.com) and Alfred Perry (951-201-3295; algenp@hotmail.com). This is an opportunity to get to know and play with great people of all different ages and skill levels.

TUESDAY

This Prayer and Bible Study Group meets weekly at 6 pm at Wil and Sylvia Clarke’s home, near the church. They enjoy discussing various topics from Scripture and praying together. For more information, call or text Wil (951-231-5402) or Sylvia (951-231-5403). They would love to have you join them.

WEDNESDAY

The Better than 50 Club gathers from 12-2 pm on the 3rd Wednesday of the month in Sierra Vista Chapel and is led by Wil Clarke (951-231-5402; wil.clarke@gmail.com). Come enjoy a potluck lunch and building friendships with others experiencing or looking forward to the freedom that retirement brings.

The Prayer Partners meet weekly on Zoom from 7:30-8:30 pm to grow deeper together in the practice of prayer and to pray for our church and community members. For more information, please sign up for our email list: https://lasierrachurch.flocknote.com/PrayerPartners.

The Poetry Circle gathers monthly on Zoom (usually the 1st Wednesday evening from 7:30 to 8:30) to share poetry.  Everyone is encouraged to bring a poem to share—either one they have written, one they have recently read, or a favorite.  After each person reads, we take a few minutes to discuss the poem and respond to it. THURSDAY

The La Sierra Ladies’ Bible Study gathers at 10:30 am for an hour to an hour and a half, Thursday mornings, via Zoom.  You’ll find opportunity to share and pray together with sisters in Christ.  To get connected, contact Kris Ward (951-805-3451; krisward@ca.rr.com).

The Sewing Club gathers from 12-5 pm on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays on the month in Sierra Vista Chapel with Teresa Vanderpool (714-307-2785). Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, come learn how to make beautiful creations.

FRIDAY

This Bible Study Group gathers from 6:30-8:15 pm, Friday nights, in the home of Lucy and Mike Fernando (951-206-8643; lffernando488@gmail.com). Come enjoy a potluck supper, singing songs together, building relationships, and going deeper together in Scripture.

This Life Group is a supportive and social space for those who have lost a spouse, through death or divorce, or who have never been married. SABBATH

The Board Game Explorers club meets once a month on Saturday night from sunset until 10pm. Join us for a Game Night and earn badges while playing games and making friends. For more information, contact Jeff McFarland (951-642-1445; McFarland.jeff@gmail.com).

A Book Club gathers on Sabbath afternoon (usually the 3rd Sabbath of the month), with Norman and Roxie Powell (951-522-0485; normandroxie1956@gmail.com). Get inspired by sharing and learning from the different perspectives of over a dozen new friends.

A Book Club gathers in the Orlich home bimonthly on Saturday evenings at 6 pm to share a meal and discuss a book. To get updates and discover what books we’re reading, please contact Michael Orlich (orlich@me.com).

The Blanket Club gathers from 2-5 pm, the 2nd Sabbath of the month (Sept. – May) in the Ministry Center with Annie Henry (anniehenry2002@yahoo.fr). Whether you’re a first-timer or a pro, come connect around knitting and crocheting baby and adult lap blankets to gift our neighbors!

Our Mom’s Group meets about once a month on Sabbath evening from 6-8 pm. Mothers and grandmothers of all ages and generations are welcome.
